In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance. Your expertise will help keep our fleet running smoothly and efficiently, supporting our operations across various sectors. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for heavy machinery and a commitment to excellence. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems of heavy trucks and trailers. Conduct preventive maintenance including oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and fluid checks to maximize vehicle lifespan and safety. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques as needed for specialized equipment or repairs. Service heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment to ensure operational readiness. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports in compliance with company standards. Assist in the assembly or disassembly of vehicle components during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy truck repair and diesel mechanics. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and vehicle systems repair. Proficiency with schematics, electrical systems troubleshooting, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and welding techniques. Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery is highly desirable. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other maintenance tools for vehicle and equipment repair. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during inspections or repairs. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and teamwork to support client needs.
