Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and a passion for maintaining and improving the performance of heavy equipment. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines and related systems to identify issues. Perform repairs on diesel engines, including but not limited to air brakes and electrical systems. Utilize power tools and equipment to execute repairs and maintenance tasks effectively. Fabricate parts as necessary to ensure optimal functionality of machinery. Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating cranes and other industrial equipment. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in diesel technology. Qualifications Proven experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance. Proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment. Strong understanding of electrical systems related to diesel engines. Familiarity with air brake systems is preferred. Ability to fabricate components as needed for repairs. Experience working with industrial equipment is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
