Join an Employee-Owned Company That Invests in Skilled Technicians Lawrence Companies is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician Specialist to join our growing maintenance team in Roanoke, VA. We are looking for a highly skilled technician with strong diagnostic abilities, a solid work ethic, and hands-on experience repairing and maintaining diesel-powered trucks and equipment. If you take pride in quality repairs, minimizing downtime, and solving complex mechanical issues, we want to hear from you. What Youll Do Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipmentPerform preventative maintenance and major component repairsWork on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulics, HVAC, suspension, steering, brakes, fuel systems, and emissions systemsUtilize diagnostic software and scan tools to identify and resolve issues efficientlyRead and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and manufacturer service manualsComplete repairs safely, accurately, and in a timely mannerMaintain detailed repair documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors and team membersSupport shop cleanliness, safety standards, and OSHA compliance What Were Looking For 3+ years of diesel technician experience preferredStrong diagnostic and troubleshooting skillsExperience with heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and diesel equipmentKnowledge of electrical systems, ECM diagnostics, hydraulics, and air brake systemsWelding and fabrication experience is a plusAbility to operate diagnostic equipment and service softwareCDL preferred or ability to obtain oneMust provide your own toolsStrong work ethic with a sense of urgency and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 poundsAbility to stand, bend, crawl, stoop, climb, and work in varying shop and weather conditionsAbility to safely operate company vehicles and equipment Why Join Lawrence Companies?
