Full Job Description Title:

Diesel Tractor Mechanic Job Overview:

Diagnose and repair diesel tractors and implements for customers that are appointed by DES Manager. Assemble new diesel tractors for stock or customer needs as directed by DES Manager.

Responsibilities:

Help in receiving customer equipment needing repair or tune-ups, collect customer repair information, help to create repair order details. Communicate details of equipment issues to DES Manager. Work with DES Manager to evaluate machines, troubleshoot problems and generate solutions for equipment issues. Create list of parts required to repair equipment and submit to DES Manager or Parts Department. Assemble diesel tractors based on dealership and OEM standards. Consistently maintain clean work environment

Qualifications:

Education

• 2 years diesel engine certificate from KTAC program or equivalent not required but helpful. Experience
• 2 years of experience in diesel engine shop as mechanic/technician Skills
• Strong written, organizational and verbal communication skills required.

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on diesel engines required. Willingness to work independently and within a team environment. Basic computer skills. Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds required.
