Diesel Mechanic - 2nd Shift

Job Description

Family owned and operated Local Trucking and Excavating company is looking for a highly skilled diesel mechanic to join our team. If you have a passion for heavy equipment, strong mechanical skills, and diesel experience, this your chance to make a significant impact in a local, growing company.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair heavy equipment including excavators, skid loaders, bulldozers, and diesel trucks and trailers. Conduct regular inspections on machines to ensure all systems are functioning properly. Troubleshoot issues relating to hydraulics, transmissions, air brakes, suspension, and electrical systems. Perform routine maintenance on all machines such as oil changes, filter changes, grease jobs, etc. Occasionally perform on-site emergency repairs. Always follow safety protocols and technical procedures.
Salary:
Based on experience - starting pay at $28.00 per hour. Experienced applicants can expect a higher starting wage. Pay review after 30 days employment.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1+ years of experience working on heavy duty vehicles and equipment (required)
  • Experience with DOT inspections
  • Basic computer skills
  • A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to provide own tools
  • Hydraulic, engine, and electrical diagnostics experience (preferred)
  • Welding experience (preferred)
  • Ability to move/operate heavy equipment (preferred) Diesel mechanic and technician graduates encouraged to apply
