Diesel Mechanic

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of equipment used across various sectors such as transportation, construction, and agriculture. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems using OEM schematics and automotive diagnostics tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm machinery to ensure peak operational efficiency. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair requirements. Utilize heavy equipment operation skills for troubleshooting and testing repaired machinery in real-world conditions. Interpret technical schematics and service manuals to accurately identify issues and execute precise repairs or replacements. Conduct tire service, brake repair, alignment adjustments, and HVAC system maintenance on various vehicle types. Ensure safety standards are maintained during all repair activities by adhering to industry regulations related to vehicle maintenance and heavy equipment operation. Maintain detailed service records including inspections, repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings for each piece of equipment serviced. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair within dealership or industrial settings. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering for custom repairs or part modifications. Familiarity with OEM parts catalogs and schematics for accurate troubleshooting and part sourcing. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other industrial machinery. Strong electrical experience related to automotive diagnostics and electrical system troubleshooting. Ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire service, brake repair, transmission work, suspension adjustments, and air brake systems. Experience working with farm machinery or industrial equipment is highly desirable. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools required for complex repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
