Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Auto and Diesel Mechanics to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and heavy equipment, including trucks, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and construction machinery. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics, and proficiency in working with various tools and systems. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Conduct preventive maintenance on vehicles such as tractor-trailers, heavy trucks, forklifts, excavators, cranes, and farm machinery. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding equipment and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function. Conduct alignments, air brake system repairs, shocks & struts replacement, tire service, and suspension work to maintain vehicle safety standards. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently. Perform vehicle inspections to identify potential issues early and recommend appropriate repairs or maintenance actions. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed while adhering to safety protocols. Assist in equipment repair projects involving welding, fabrication, or assembly tasks. Support team efforts by lifting heavy components safely during repairs or replacements. Qualifications Proven experience working as an auto or diesel mechanic with dealership or industrial background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical components. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics interpretation. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; ability to use power tools effectively. Knowledge of safety standards related to vehicle maintenance and heavy equipment operation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
