A UPS Technician III is responsible for startups, certifications, preventative maintenance, and scheduled maintenance for systems related to Uninterruptable Power Supply systems, including Battery Systems.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Experienced and able to perform UPS replacements and new installations. Experienced and able to perform preventative maintenance, trouble diagnosis, routine, and emergency repairs of all types of systems without supervision and with minimal disruption to customer. Install, trouble diagnose, repair, start-up, and commission, all types of UPS systems. Ability to lead jobs with multiple crew members of various skill levels. Ability to communicate and work effectively with general contractors, subcontractors, partners, and clients to complete projects on schedule and within budget. Without supervisionproperly operate allequipment including but not limited to:a. UPS systems, Battery systems, PDU's, ATS, and AC/DC rectifiers. Have excellent written and oral communication skills with co-workers, sales teams, engineering partners, management teams, and clients. Be able to accurately assess human power requirements for maintenance and installation services. Be able to estimate consumables and connectivity parts for project completion. Be able to recognize when crew productivity and safety are jeopardized due to duration of efforts or extreme conditions service crew members are being exposed to. Exercise leadership and good judgement resulting in healthy, harmonious, productive,andhappy team performance. Exhibit characteristics that fostergreat team moral, and spirit of co-operation on job sites and operationscenter. Show ability to balance multiple needs and challenges from a multitude of directions. Be able to teach learned skills, techniques, strategies, and methods to the next generation.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
