  • Electrical Testing Technician National facilities services provider Energy & Power Apply Now On-Site New York, NY $60-75/hr July 29, 2026 Apply Now Our client, a large national facilities and infrastructure services provider, is looking for an Electrical Field Test Technician at NETA Level 3 or equivalent, to join their Electrical Power Services team.
The role covers safe and efficient installation and testing of electrical power distribution equipment for customers across an assigned territory, working both independently and with a crew. Level 3 and 4 technicians also coach, mentor, train and supervise Level 1 and 2 trainees and assistants. Pay is $60.00 to $75.00 per hour as a base rate, plus available paid overtime, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start up and collect data on electrical systems
  • Maintain, test, repair, rebuild and replace low, medium and high voltage switchgear and circuit breakers
  • Test and inspect low, medium and high voltage cable installations, and maintain, test and repair transformers
  • Test and calibrate solid state and electromechanical relays, and perform relay calibration and power metering
  • Conduct low and medium voltage motor control centre and contactor testing, and troubleshoot automatic transfer switches
  • Supervise, guide and mentor trainees and assistant technicians, and own record keeping, test data evaluation and field service reportsSkills & Experience
  • NETA Level 3 certification or equivalent field testing experience
  • Strong background in electrical power distribution testing and commissioning
  • Ability to evaluate test data and prepare clear field service reports
  • Experience coaching and supervising junior technicians on site
  • Familiarity with NETA acceptance and maintenance testing standards and
NFPA 70E
electrical safety
  • Willing to travel across the assigned territory and rotate emergency on call duty
