We are seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer to support customers across the United States from Haverhill, MA location. Whether you already have experience with Electron Beam equipment or have a strong electrical/mechanical background and are eager to learn, comprehensive training—including training in Japan—will be provided. This is a full time, permanent and direct hire position.
Field Service Engineer Responsibilities Include:
Travel to customer sites across the U.S. (up to 80%) to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment. Perform equipment commissioning, inspections, and preventive maintenance. Diagnose electrical, mechanical, software, and network-related issues. Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints to identify and resolve technical problems. Install, test, and optimize equipment performance. Train customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices. Provide technical support via phone, email, and on-site visits. Document service activities and communicate findings to internal teams. Stay current on product updates and industry standards.
Field Service Engineer Requirements Include:
5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Field Service, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, or a related field. Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline preferred. Mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting experience. Experience with Electron Beam Technology is highly preferred, but not required. Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings. Experience using measuring instruments such as multimeters, dial indicators, micrometers, calipers, and voltmeters. Valid driver's license. Willingness to travel up to 80% throughout the United States. Ability to travel to Japan for technical training.
