Field Service Engineer - Medical Imaging Build Your Career in Medical Imaging Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer, Electronics Technician, BMET, Military Technician or similar technical professional looking for an opportunity to develop your career in medical imaging? This could be an excellent opportunity to make that move. You don't need previous X-ray experience. We're looking for someone with strong technical fundamentals, good troubleshooting ability and the attitude to learn. You'll receive structured training and develop specialist experience servicing medical imaging equipment while working as part of a growing technical team. The Opportunity You'll take ownership of an established territory coveringNebraska and Iowa , with occasional service requirements in South Dakota and North Dakota. Your work will primarily involve supporting X-ray rooms and portable X-ray systems, with some additional medical imaging equipment. You'll receive: Specialist training on medical imaging equipment Hands-on field training with an experienced engineer The opportunity to develop into a specialist imaging service engineer A company vehicle, fuel card and all business travel expenses covered A high level of autonomy once fully trained The opportunity to grow with an expanding medical imaging business What You'll Be Doing Service and maintain medical imaging equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and technical faults Complete installations, repairs and preventative maintenance Work directly with hospitals and healthcare customers Manage your own service schedule and territory Travel throughout Nebraska, Iowa and surrounding states Maintain accurate service documentation Continue developing your technical knowledge through training What We're Looking For We're interested in technically strong people, rather than simply looking for someone with existing X-ray experience.
You should have:
Strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting ability Good technical and computer skills A genuine interest in learning medical imaging The ability to work independently Strong customer service and communication skills A willingness to travel extensively by vehicle A valid driving licence This is a genuine field service position, so travel is an important part of the role.
You can expect:
Regular driving throughout Nebraska and Iowa Typical journeys of 4-6 hours Occasional longer journeys Approximately 1-2 overnight stays per week Company-paid hotels and meals when travelling Why This Role?
