location: Portland, Connecticut job type: Permanent salary: $95,000 - 101,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Associates responsibilities: Lead on-site installation, commissioning, startup, and testing for both new and legacy packaging equipment across Food & Beverage client facilities.
Perform hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting-both on-site and remotely-to resolve performance issues in a timely, solution-oriented manner.
Educate customer personnel and service teams on proper machine operation, routine maintenance, and safety protocols.
Prepare detailed technical service reports outlining completed work, diagnostic findings, and long-term operational recommendations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on field service experience, ideally in packaging machinery or a related industry.
Advanced proficiency with Rockwell Automation software, specifically RSLogix 5000.strong background in machine automation, mechanical systems, and industrial electronics.
Proven problem-solving mindset with a hands-on, solution-driven approach and high self-accountability.
Location & Travel:
Home-based on the East Coast or in the Kentucky/Tennessee corridor, ideally within 60 minutes of a major airport hub.
Greater than 90% travel throughout North America (United States, Canada, and Mexico) with occasional international travel.
All travel time is fully compensated, with overtime eligibility.
