Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Fire and Water Restoration Technician, where you'll be at the forefront of helping clients recover from devastating fire, water, and flood damage. This energetic role involves responding swiftly to emergency situations, performing thorough clean-up and restoration work, and ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed. Your expertise will help restore properties and peace of mind for homeowners and businesses alike. Duties Respond promptly to emergency calls for fire, water, flood, and mold remediation situations, providing immediate assessment and action. Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification using specialized equipment to mitigate further damage. Conduct fire damage cleanup including soot removal, debris clearance, and odor control with appropriate safety gear. Utilize hand tools, restoration equipment, and carpet cleaning tools to restore affected areas efficiently. Follow strict safety protocols including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) use and respiratory protection during all phases of work. Document job progress meticulously using industry-standard software such as Xactimate for estimating damages and repairs. Operate company vehicles responsibly while adhering to safety guidelines during transportation to job sites. Assist with mold remediation and asbestos abatement when necessary, ensuring environmental safety standards are met. Collaborate with clients courteously, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns with professionalism. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after each job. Requirements Prior experience in the restoration industry or construction is highly preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate. Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations with on-call coverage availability. Strong knowledge of fire restoration, flood restoration, water damage mitigation, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement procedures. Familiarity with restoration industry tools such as hand tools, Xactimate software, moisture meters, air movers, dehumidifiers, and carpet cleaning equipment. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards clients during stressful situations. Ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols including PPE use and respiratory protection at all times on the job site. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating company vehicles is a plus. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
