Job Description Field Service Technician II Location:
Phoenix, AZ Shift:
1st Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
Compensation:
Starting at $24.00 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime is required as business needs dictate. Job Summary The Field Service Technician II is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing window and door products in residential, commercial, and construction environments. This role requires hands-on experience with window and door installation or repair, strong mechanical aptitude, and a customer-first mindset. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, communicating directly with homeowners, builders, and contractors, and delivering quality workmanship that exceeds customer expectations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying root causes of product concerns and implementing effective solutions while professionally representing MITER Brands in the field. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Professionally represent MITER Brands and provide exceptional customer service during all customer interactions. Travel to customer homes, job sites, and commercial locations to diagnose and resolve window and door product concerns. Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and service windows, doors, hardware, glass, and related components. Independently perform service calls while maintaining quality workmanship and safety standards. Identify root causes of product issues and determine appropriate corrective actions. Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and service equipment safely and effectively. Document service activities, repair details, observations, and outcomes using mobile devices and company software. Complete and submit accurate service reports in a timely manner. Maintain service vehicle inventory and coordinate the pickup and delivery of parts between warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and customer locations. Inspect incoming parts and materials for quality compliance and coordinate replacements when necessary. Assist with warehouse organization, inventory management, and unloading deliveries as needed. Keep customer homes, job sites, service vehicles, and work areas clean and organized. Collaborate with other Field Service Technicians on larger projects and complex service situations. Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines. Demonstrate MITER Brands' Guiding Principles in all business interactions. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Working knowledge of window and door products, components, installation methods, and repair techniques. Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and mechanical skills. Experience using hand tools and power tools. Ability to work independently and solve product issues with minimal supervision. Strong customer service and communication skills. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook and Windows-based applications. Ability to effectively use mobile devices and service software for reporting and documentation. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy. Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in window and door installation, field service, or repair. Experience working directly with homeowners, contractors, builders, or distributors preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, parts, and equipment as needed. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in physically demanding environments throughout the workday. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work in residential, commercial, manufacturing, and active construction environments. Ability to obtain Aerial Lift Certification within six months of employment. Work Environment Field-based position supporting customers throughout the Phoenix market and surrounding areas. Frequent interaction with homeowners, builders, contractors, distributors, and internal teams. Regular use of mobile technology for scheduling, communication, reporting, and documentation. Fast-paced environment requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Mandatory overtime may be required during peak periods or as business needs dictate. Travel Requirements Daily local travel throughout the service area is required.
