Job Description
Ideal candidates will have:
High school diploma or GED. Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record . Ability to meet and maintain Alpine Power Systems' driver insurability requirements . Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card , as required. Basic mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Ability to reliably travel to customer locations throughout the Benicia and surrounding service area . Ability to work in data centers, industrial facilities, warehouses, and other customer-site environments. Ability to safely lift and move 70+ pounds and perform physical duties that may include prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and working in various positions. Ability to safely work around electrical and battery systems while following required safety procedures and PPE requirements. Ability to meet applicable customer-specific background, badging, training, and site-access requirements . Ability to maintain required licenses, certifications, training, and customer credentials throughout employment. Preferred Experience & Certifications The following experience and certifications are preferred but not required: Experience with industrial batteries, UPS systems, generators, chargers, or other critical power equipment. Electrical or mechanical field service experience. Knowledge of battery testing equipment and related safety procedures. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and equipment layout drawings. Experience working in data centers, industrial facilities, or other mission-critical environments . Current OSHA 10 certification is highly preferred. CurrentNFPA 70E
training/certification is highly preferred. Candidates who already possess OSHA 10 and/orNFPA 70E
credentials are encouraged to apply, as these qualifications demonstrate familiarity with the safety practices and work environments relevant to this position. Alpine Power Systems will provide required OSHA 10 andNFPA 70E
training for qualified candidates who do not currently hold these credentials.
