We repair and rebuild residential properties following water, mold, and fire damage. Our work goes beyond basic construction. We restore occupied homes and damaged properties to their pre-loss condition, which requires careful workmanship, clean finishes, and close attention to detail. We are growing our Repair Division and are looking for experienced technicians who take pride in their craft and work well with our team. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Restoration Repair Technician with advanced drywall installation and finishing skills, along with experience in painting, carpentry, flooring, or other residential repair trades. Drywall will be a major part of this position. The ideal candidate can install drywall, complete patches, apply tape and mud, match existing textures, and leave repaired surfaces ready for paint. Successful candidates should be independently productive in drywall and at least one additional repair trade, such as: Painting Finish carpentry and trimwork Framing LVP or laminate flooring Cabinet installation Tile installation Basic plumbing fixture removal and installation Primary Responsibilities Drywall Installation and Finishing Measure, cut, fit, hang, and secure drywall panels according to the project scope. Complete small and large drywall patches on walls and ceilings. Apply tape, joint compound, corner bead, and other finishing materials. Perform multiple finish coats, sanding, and surface preparation to produce a smooth, paint-ready finish. Match existing wall and ceiling textures, including orange peel, knockdown, smooth wall, hand texture, and popcorn-style finishes. Complete repairs that blend cleanly with existing surfaces and do not leave visible transitions. Painting and Finish Work Protect floors, furniture, cabinets, fixtures, and adjacent surfaces before beginning work. Prepare surfaces through cleaning, scraping, sanding, caulking, patching, and priming. Apply primer and finish paint using brushes, rollers, or sprayers. Match existing colors and sheen as closely as practical. Carpentry and General Repairs Install baseboards, casing, hardware, shelving, and other finish materials. Perform basic door hanging, alignment, and trim installation. Read measurements accurately and make clean, precise cuts. Identify necessary materials and communicate material needs before work is delayed. Flooring and Additional Trades Depending on the technician's experience, work may also include: Installing LVP and laminate flooring Removing and replacing damaged flooring Installing underlayment, transitions, reducers, and baseboards Installing insulation Removing and reinstalling plumbing fixtures Required Qualifications At least three years of hands-on residential repair, reconstruction, remodeling, or restoration experience. Strong drywall installation, patching, taping, mudding, sanding, finishing, and texture-matching skills. Ability to complete drywall repairs independently and leave surfaces ready for paint. Demonstrated proficiency in at least one additional trade, preferably painting, flooring, framing, finish carpentry or tile. Dependable attendance and the ability to arrive at job sites on time. Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Lift, carry, load, and maneuver construction materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Perform overhead work for extended periods. Safely use ladders, step stools, hand tools, and power tools. Stand, walk, kneel, crouch, bend, climb, and reach throughout the workday. Work in active construction and restoration environments. Wear required personal protective equipment. Safely work around dust, noise, paint, adhesives, and common construction materials.
Compensation and Benefits Hourly wage:
$26.00-$31.00 per hour, based on experience, demonstrated skills, and ability to work independently.
