Water Damage Restoration Technician / Water Mitigation (Woodland Hills) Full-time | Flexible hours required | On-call rotation every other week What this job actually is: You'll respond to water losses in occupied homes. That means pulling wet materials, setting air movers and dehus, running containment, taking moisture readings every day until the structure is dry, and documenting every single step with photos and written logs. This is physical work in tight, hot, dirty spaces. It's also detail work, the documentation you produce is what gets the job paid. Both halves matter equally here. What you'll do: 1. Moisture mapping / Moisture reading / Documentation 2. Haul, stage, and set drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, negative air) 3. Take and record daily moisture readings on affected materials and unaffected control points 4. Complete daily drying logs and moisture mapping sheets on every monitoring visit / no exceptions, no "I'll fill it in later" 5. Photo-document pre-existing conditions, cause of loss, affected materials, equipment placement, and demo scope 6. Build and maintain containment and set up antimicrobial application 7. Communicate job status to the Project Manager and to homeowners clearly and on time 8. Load out equipment and close out the job clean What we require: 1. Reliable transportation and a valid CA driver's license with a clean record 2. Ability to repeatedly lift 50-75 lbs and work on your feet, on ladders, and in crawlspaces and attics 3. Comfortable using a smartphone and tablet daily such as, photo apps, digital forms, moisture meters with app pairing, and cloud uploads 4. Ability to read and write clearly enough to produce field notes an insurance adjuster will rely on 5. You answer your phone. You show up when you say you will. You call before you're late, not after. 6. Willingness to be on-call for after-hours emergency dispatch on a rotating basis 7.
