$30.00 - $35.00 per hour.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on professional with strong technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems. The ideal candidate demonstrates integrity, accountability, and the ability to work independently within transit authority environments. A valid driver's license is required, and experience leading temporary teams is considered a significant advantage.
Core Responsibilities:
Master and implement the FTNA door adjustment protocols with precision. Serve as the primary point of contact and representative for FVR when engaging with the rail car manufacturer. Provide on-demand support to rail car builders and transit authorities by troubleshooting and resolving FTNA system issues as outlined in service agreements. Ensure project success by assisting with system commissioning and warranty support at both transit sites and assembly plants. Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical malfunctions within FTNA systems. Verify and document technical issues reported by the rail car builder to help maintain system reliability.
Technical Qualifications and Education:
Possess a High School diploma, with technical certifications viewed as a plus. Demonstrate at least two years of relevant technician experience, ideally within the rail or mass transit sectors. Maintain proficiency in both mechanical and electrical systems, along with strong computer skills including MS Excel. Utilize laptop tools effectively to perform software updates and execute advanced troubleshooting tasks.
Compensation and Benefits Overview:
The standard hourly rate for this position ranges from $30.00 to $35.00. Non-exempt staff receive overtime pay at 1.5 times their base rate for hours exceeding 40 per week, subject to local regulations. Final salary offers are based on individual experience, education, and skill sets. Full-time team members may choose from various benefit plans, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage, health savings accounts, 10 days of paid time off, 3 days of bereavement leave, and 401(k) participation with a company match. Additional offerings include life and disability insurance, commuter assistance, flexible spending accounts for dependent care, accident and critical illness coverage, hospital indemnity, and travel expense reimbursement. Mobile phone stipends and sick leave are provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws, and employees may be eligible for discretionary performance bonuses.
