https://coatscompany.applytojob.com/apply/tx0wUVyacO/Field-Service-Technician COATS is seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined Field Service Technician to support customers throughout the Santa Clarita area. This role is responsible for installing, servicing, repairing, and training customers on our industry-leading tire and wheel service equipment, including Coats®, BaseLine™, and Ammco® products. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and working independently while delivering outstanding customer service, this could be the opportunity for you. What You'll Be Responsible For Install and commission tire and wheel service equipment at customer locations Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in the field Provide hands-on training to customers on proper equipment usage and safety Deliver technical support and build long-term customer relationships Maintain accurate service documentation and reports Identify and escalate unsafe conditions when necessary Travel daily within your assigned territory Paid Training Program We set you up for success with a structured onboarding experience: 2 weeks of field training
  • ride-along with an experienced technician 2 weeks in Nashville, TN
  • hands-on classroom and equipment training This comprehensive 4-week program ensures you're confident and prepared before working independently.
Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or GED required (technical degree preferred) 1-2 years of experience in mechanical or electrical installation/repair Basic knowledge of electrical systems and use of diagnostic tools Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable using tablets and mobile technology Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (annual MVR review required) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, and lifting Comfortable driving daily as part of core job responsibilities Compensation This position offers a base pay of $20.00 per hour . In addition, technicians are eligible to earn productivity-based incentives through our commission structure, with total compensation typically ranging between $20.00 and $36.00 per hour , depending on individual performance.
