This is a hands-on position for someone who already understands water mitigation and is ready for greater responsibility. You'll work directly with customers, assess water losses, perform and document structural drying, coordinate work in the field, and help guide other technicians to complete projects safely and correctly. Starting pay ranges from $23.50 to $26.00 per hour. Where you start within the range will be based on your water mitigation experience, IICRC certifications, structural drying and moisture-monitoring knowledge, ability to work independently, job documentation skills, and experience taking responsibility for mitigation projects and directing work in the field. What You'll Do As an Experienced Water Mitigation Technician, you'll work on residential and commercial property losses throughout the Denver Metro area and help customers recover from water and other property damage.
Responsibilities include:
Respond to residential and commercial water damage losses Perform initial job-site assessments and identify affected areas and materials Perform water extraction, structural drying, selective demolition, and other mitigation work Set up, monitor, reposition, and remove drying equipment Take and document moisture and psychrometric readings Help determine the appropriate drying and mitigation approach based on job conditions and IICRC standards Maintain accurate job documentation, including photographs, notes, moisture readings, and daily project updates Coordinate daily work activities and help direct mitigation crew members on assigned projects Work alongside the crew while helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to established procedures Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, business owners, and other customers Explain mitigation activities, project progress, and next steps to customers Protect customer property and maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites Follow IICRC standards, company procedures, and job-site safety requirements Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working condition Participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule for emergency losses What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who understands water mitigation, can take responsibility in the field, works well with customers and coworkers, and takes pride in doing the job correctly.
Required:
At least 1 full year of hands-on water damage restoration or mitigation experience Working knowledge of water extraction, moisture detection, drying equipment, and structural drying Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned work Ability to help organize work and provide direction to other crew members when needed Strong customer service and communication skills Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Dependable and able to adapt to changing job-site conditions Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to meet the physical requirements of restoration field work Authorization to work in the United States Preferred, but not required: 2+ years of water mitigation experience IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification Additional IICRC certifications Experience independently managing mitigation projects Experience directing or coordinating the work of other technicians Experience with Xcelerate, Encircle, Xactimate, or similar restoration technology If you have solid hands-on water mitigation experience but don't check every preferred box, we still encourage you to apply.
