The Field Service Technician's main responsibility is to provide satisfactory customer service and commissioning on our LTD equipment as a member of the field service team. Qualifications At least two years' experience in customer service or maintenance in an industrial environment A formal education in instrumentation, electronics, or similar technical nature focused on automated equipment would be a plus. Technically savvy to perform equipment services and installations as well as configuring and installing software . Strong computer experience. Technical aptitude, in both mechanical & electrical areas, with machine setup & control theory understanding. Ability to read and understand technical documentation, drawings, and schematics. Results-oriented, self-confident, self-motivated, takes initiative, persistent Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop and maintain effective customer relationships and collaborative business relationships. Natural customer centric orientation Presentation skills; persuasive written and verbal communication Computer skills: Microsoft office Ability to travel regularly - 75% or more domestic and international for up to three weeks at one time Ability to carry up to 50lb and Must have the ability to climb heights up to 180' as required Responsibilities Up to 75% travel to customers facilities to commission, diagnose, and repair SI LTD gauging system
INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC TRAVEL REQUIRED
Travel may include weekend and overnight work as needed per the customer's production schedule Work will be mostly mechanical in nature, including rebuilds and component replacements such as bearings, gears, and some machine components. Interact with and professionally communicate with customers and SI internal departments regarding service and product issues. Understand issues and communicate them to the engineering team by means of drawings, photos, and reports. Provide remote support via phone calls, emails to other Field Service Engineers, management, engineering and the client as needed. Commission and supervise of the installation of SI LTD gauge and provide training to the end user as needed Promote the companies service and parts programs and identify additional customer care opportunities. Adhere to internal processes and implementation of field service systems to improve the efficiency and department organization. Travel within North America and internationally will be required as needed. US Passport Required Must pass background and drug screen test
