Job Summary:
As a representative of the company, this position involves performing a variety of construction and maintenance work in new, unoccupied, and occupied correctional facilities. The role requires communicating and coordinating with contractors, customers, and jail/county officials to ensure the successful completion of projectsEssential Functions:
Perform warranty, repair and refurbishment tasks including, but not limited to, Paint/Coating removal, Surface preparation Coating applications via various means (brush, roll and spray) Fabrication & welding work Fixture removal, repair and/or installation (lights, toilets, hardware,etc) Finishing & cleaning Quality All work needs to be performed to the highest level of quality and safety standards Follow all rules and procedures set forth by the correctional facility and staff Logistics Must be able to pass DOT health exam & obtain DOT Health Card Log and document travel activities as required by DOT regulations Must be capable of driving vehicles and towing trailers up to 30ft in length Must have and maintain satisfactory driving record Requirements Work within a priority system established by the Field Services Manager & Coordinator Work independently or with a team while meeting company and customer expectations Must be available to travel extensively, sometimes at short notice up to 2 weeks at a time. Must be able to travel for 3 out 4 weeks of the month. (Exceptions and circumstances may require more.) Ability to work long shifts up to 16 hours per day. Report and participate in the resolution of quality issues with applicable personnel Understand and follow all rules and regulations, including Safety, Environmental and Company policies Basic knowledge of the proper and safe operation of hand and powered toolsQualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent plus technical training or equal experience Welding experience preferred Must be able to read and understand drawings Must be able to read, evaluate, and respond to product specification and drawings and perform normal math calculations easily Must have good communication skills Will require (4) weeks in facility training in SteelCell Manufacturing Facility Must be able to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16" Must be detail, quality, and teamwork oriented Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds Must be able to focus on work with efficiency and perseverance with time phased goals as primary effort Must be a self-starter and continued self-motivator Demonstrate high level of work ethicJob Type:
