With more than 100 years of industry experience and our recent expansion into a 160,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility , JW Bell is continuing to expand our manufacturing, service, and field support capabilities. We work directly with producers and contractors to keep their operations running through equipment sales, custom manufacturing, machining, equipment rebuilds, and field service. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Rock Drill Technician to join our service team. The Opportunity We are looking for a highly skilled Rock Drill Technician who takes pride in their work and is comfortable working independently in the field. This position is ideal for an experienced technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, solving problems, and getting customers back up and running. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical background along with hands-on experience diagnosing hydraulic and electrical systems . You should be someone who can arrive at a jobsite, assess the situation, diagnose the problem, determine the necessary repairs, and complete the work safely and efficiently. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5 years of field service experience working on heavy equipment, drilling equipment, or similar machinery Extensive mechanical knowledge and hands-on repair experience Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Experience performing equipment repairs, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong work ethic and commitment to completing the job correctly Professional communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers Valid driver's license w/CDL and acceptable driving record Experience with Sandvik, Atlas Copco, or Weiler drilling equipment is a significant plus What JW Bell Provides JW Bell understands that experienced technicians need the right equipment and support to do their jobs successfully.
