A day in the life You start your morning in Iowa, coffee in hand, reviewing a couple of service tickets on your company-provided laptop before heading to a nearby customer site. By mid-morning, you're running diagnostics on a CNC machining center, tracing a hydraulic issue and confirming an electrical repair. After lunch, you swing by another customer to complete a preventive maintenance visit on a CNC turning center, wrap up the documentation, and call a sales teammate with a quick heads-up about an upgrade opportunity you noticed. You finish the day with your notes synced, expenses submitted through a fast reimbursement process, and a sense of momentum—another day helping customers keep their production humming. What this role is (and isn't) Focused on a local territory—primarily Iowa with coverage across IA, MN, and MO. About 50% travel, with travel time paid. It's not a national "road warrior" grind. What you'll tackle Perform field service, installations, and preventive maintenance on CNC machining and turning centers. Diagnose and resolve customer issues; collaborate with sales on opportunities and support. Communicate clearly with customers, teammates, and partners. Represent Ellison Technologies professionally and ethically in every interaction. Own your service cases and projects; maintain accurate customer records and technical documentation. Pitch in with other related duties as assigned. What you bring Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, or repairing CNC machining centers and CNC turning centers. Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills. A customer-first mindset and the ability to thrive with variety and continuous learning.
