Printer & Copier Service Technician Bob Brooks Computer Sales, Inc. (BBCS) Norton Shores, MI Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week BBCS is looking for a full-time Printer & Copier Service Technician to join our team in Norton Shores. We are a family-run Michigan business that has been serving our customers for more than 50 years. We are continuing to grow and are looking for someone who wants to become a long-term part of our team. This is a hands-on technical position that includes both in-house warranty repair and on-site service at customer locations . Our technicians work on everything from desktop and workgroup office printers to enterprise copiers/MFPs and industrial thermal label printers. What You'll Be Doing Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain printers, copiers, MFPs, and thermal label printers Perform in-house warranty and non-warranty repairs at our Norton Shores service facility Travel to customer locations throughout West Michigan for on-site service and troubleshooting Diagnose mechanical, electrical, print-quality, connectivity, driver, and configuration issues Install and configure new printers, copiers, and related equipment Perform preventative maintenance and replace service parts as needed Work directly with customers to understand problems and get their equipment back up and running Document service work, parts used, and repairs performed Work with our sales and service team when additional technical support is needed Participate in manufacturer training and continue learning new products and technologies Equipment You'll Work With Our primary manufacturers include:

Brother, Epson, HP, Lexmark, Ricoh, and Kyocera Thermal /

Label Printing:

Zebra, Honeywell, and SATO Experience with these specific manufacturers is helpful, but we don't expect someone to know every product we sell. Strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical ability, and a willingness to learn are more important. What We're Looking For Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Mechanical and technical aptitude Previous printer, copier, electronics, IT hardware, or field service experience preferred Ability to troubleshoot both hardware and basic network/PC-related printing issues Comfortable working independently at customer locations Professional and dependable when dealing directly with customers Good communication skills Organized and able to manage multiple service calls and priorities Clean driving record and valid driver's license Ability to lift and move printers, parts, and related equipment Willingness to learn and complete manufacturer training Someone who takes pride in figuring out problems and fixing things correctly The Right Fit for BBCS Technical ability is important, but so is finding the right person for our team.
