As a Field Service Technician, you will serve as a technical expert for our customers. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues with CNC equipment. Your technical expertise and customer service skills will ensure smooth operations and satisfied clients. Travel is required for this position Duties Perform installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines. Independently diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC control issues at customer sites. Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of CNC control systems, including Siemens 840D, SINUMERIK ONE, and Heidenhain platforms. Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems to identify potential problems before they escalate. Analyze machine performance and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and uptime. Serve as a trusted technical advisor and professional representative of TARUS at customer facilities by providing exceptional customer service, explaining repairs clearly, answering questions, and ensuring client satisfaction. Maintain detailed service logs, work orders, and documentation of all maintenance activities for record-keeping and compliance. Travel Up to 25% domestic travel with possible international travel. Overnight travel required based on customer location and service needs. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of hands-on field service experience repairing CNC machine tools or precision industrial equipment. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Experience diagnosing and repairing CNC control systems. Hands-on experience with Siemens 840D, SINUMERIK ONE, Heidenhain, Fanuc, or similar CNC platforms. Proven ability to work independently and manage service calls with minimal supervision. Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation. Strong written communication and documentation skills. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles responsibly. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Experience with CNC machine tools. Experience with 5-axis machining centers. Previous experience with TARUS equipment. Background with machine tool builders, machine tool distributors, CNC retrofit companies, or industrial automation organizations.
