Job Description

Our client is looking for a Field Service Technician for a 2-month contract in Sterling Heights, MI 48310. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future. Our client is a multibillion-dollar company that provides end-to-end managed services, technology, and consulting to enable the digital workplace for small to enterprise businesses. Contract Duration:
2 months Required Skills & Experience 0-2 years of field dispatch repair and hands-on hardware experience (printers, PCs, POS, etc.), break-fix, use of power tools (e.g., drills), and familiarity with the ticketing system. Lexmark certifications and experience. Experience with Lexmark printer break-fix and equipment installs, and HP, Dell, and Lenovo. Previous Field Service and/or Desktop, POS, printer Break/Fix experience Excellent technical troubleshooting and customer service skills Reliable transportation and clean driving record required (This is a driving position - reimbursed accordingly) Active driver's license. CompTIA A+ Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Basic understanding of networking concepts and restaurant technology environments. Ability to perform light physical/contractor tasks (drilling, mounting, etc.). Willingness to work evenings and participate in an on-call rotation as needed. Completion of account specific training and network cable termination training. What You Will Be Doing Provide exceptional customer service while supporting clients and their staff. Install, maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair POS systems, hardware, peripherals, and related printer equipment. Install, maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair various OEM vendor printers using both a warranty and non-warranty repair approach. Resolve technical issues efficiently and clearly communicate solutions to customers. Document work performed, maintain system configurations, and execute hardware/software upgrades or replacements. Perform light contractor work such as drilling, mounting hardware, and running cabling as needed to complete installations or repairs. Train employees for proper use of supported systems and equipment. Diagnose and repair product failures; order and replace parts as needed. Recommend appropriate products, services, or solutions based on customer needs. Apply working knowledge of operations and backend workflows to ensure seamless technology integration with the client. Follow established procedures and guidelines while working with minimal to no supervision. Report to a Team Lead and/or Field Services Manager.
