Maple Grove, MN Position Summary The Mitigation/Restoration Technician is responsible for responding to water, fire, and storm damage emergencies and performing structural drying, cleaning, demolition, and property stabilization. This role requires strong physical ability, technical skill, and professionalism while working in homes and businesses affected by disaster. Technicians use specialized equipment, follow industry standards, and provide detailed documentation to support restoration and insurance processes. Key Responsibilities Perform water extraction using truck-mounted pumps and submersible extractors Set, monitor, and adjust drying equipment including air movers and dehumidifiers Use thermal imaging cameras and moisture meters to track drying progress Clean soot, ash, and smoke damage from structural materials Operate odor-neutralizing equipment such as hydroxyl generators and thermal foggers Secure damaged properties through board-up and tarping Conduct controlled demolition of unsalvageable building materials Document, wrap, and transport salvageable contents for cleaning and storage Maintain accurate notes and photo documentation using company software Participate in rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergency response Qualifications 2+ years of experience in demolition, construction, or restoration preferred IICRC certifications (WRT or ASD) strongly preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and wear PPE Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record Ability to pass a background check #
