About the Role As a Field Equipment Specialist, you will serve as a vital partner to healthcare facilities by ensuring the optimal performance and cleanliness of critical sterilization systems. You will play a key role in maintaining operational uptime and safety standards through expert technical support and proactive client engagement. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive cleaning and preventative maintenance on complex mechanical and electro-mechanical sterilization units to ensure peak functionality. Manage the precise handling, application, and disposal of specialized cleaning chemicals in strict accordance with safety and environmental protocols. Act as the primary technical liaison, providing clear updates and professional guidance to facility staff regarding service status and equipment health. Collaborate with internal scheduling teams to optimize service routes and ensure timely, efficient delivery of maintenance solutions across the assigned territory. Perform detailed diagnostic assessments to identify and resolve mechanical or system-level issues, escalating complex problems to specialized support teams when necessary. Maintain accurate digital records of service activities, inventory levels, and equipment performance using company-provided mobile technology. Oversee the upkeep and organization of assigned service vehicles and equipment to ensure readiness for all field operations. Qualifications Required Skills High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, with at least 1 year in a technical, mechanical, or service-related field. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Strong proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical systems and utilizing mobile/laptop software for reporting. Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Preferred Skills Associate degree or relevant technical certifications in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
