Job Description

Position Summary ARCO Restoration is seeking a dependable, hardworking Water Mitigation Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will respond to residential and commercial property losses caused by water, fire, mold, and other emergencies. You will perform mitigation services, document job progress, and help restore properties while providing exceptional customer service during a difficult time for our clients. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Experience in restoration is preferred but not required for candidates willing to learn. Responsibilities Respond to emergency water damage and property restoration calls. Extract water using professional restoration equipment. Set up and monitor drying equipment, including air movers and dehumidifiers. Remove damaged building materials such as drywall, flooring, insulation, and baseboards as directed. Perform demolition and cleanup in accordance with company procedures and IICRC standards. Take moisture readings and document drying progress. Complete daily job documentation, including photos, notes, and equipment logs. Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, insurance representatives, and team members. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean working condition. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines. Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency response. Contents services including packing and moving of household items including furniture and appliances. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Restoration or construction experience preferred but not required. IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification is preferred or willingness to obtain after hire. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds regularly. Ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding work. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with water mitigation, mold remediation, or fire restoration. Familiarity with moisture meters, thermal imaging cameras, and drying equipment. Experience using restoration software such as DASH, Encircle, or similar platforms. OSHA 10 certification.
