About the Role BODE is seeking a Field Installation Technician to install, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, doors, dock equipment, and other industrial equipment at customer locations. This hands-on role requires mechanical problem-solving, safe work practices, dependable attendance, and professional customer service. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on material handling equipment, doors, dock equipment, and other industrial equipment.
- Evaluate equipment issues, troubleshoot mechanical problems, and determine appropriate repairs or solutions.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment safely and effectively.
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly when traveling to and from job sites.
- Build positive customer relationships through courteous communication, professional conduct, and quality workmanship.
- Work effectively with the installation team and complete assigned work with minimal supervision.
- Follow company safety procedures and job-site safety requirements. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, a smartphone, and a tablet computer.
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills when working with customers and coworkers.
- Self-motivated team player who can work with minimal supervision.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, work comfortably at heights, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Must successfully complete required pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Must have a Smartphone to hold Applications required to conduct business. Preferred Qualifications
- Welding experience, especially stick welding or shielded metal arc welding (SMAW).
- Experience with roofing, rigging, or ironwork.

DOT Medical Card:
Required. If you do not have a current card, you must obtain one on the first day of employment.
If you do not already have this credential, BODE will arrange for you to complete OSHA 10 training during your first week of employment.
