As a Field Service Technician Helper, you will be sent out to various work sites with a Lead Field Service Technician to assist clients in maintaining a fully working septic or waste water system. Training can be provided, so as long as you have a willingness to learn new skills, this can be a viable career path for you. You will have numerous opportunities to hone your skills, and there are plenty of possibilities for upward momentum in this position. Job Responsibilities Operate numerous pieces of equipment, including crane, rigging equipment, snakes, jetter trailer, laser alignment, electric and battery powered hand tools to clean septic and waste water systems. Drive to a client's property to inspect septic tank and sewer system and learn from your Lead the best course of action. Communicate with your Lead while out on site to decide which tools are going to be needed too complete the job at hand. Clean clients' septic tanks, which does not involve pumping them free of the materials inside. Breakdown the site while your Lead ensures the new or repaired septic tank is working optimally before leaving the work site entirely. Maintain the inventory on the service vehicle and be sure all equipment is in good working order for the next job.

Required:

One year of experience working in general construction Valid driver's license Knowledge of the tools needed on the job Knowledge of OSHA regulations Ability to perform manual labor Typical start time: 7:30 a.m.

Typical end time:

4:00 p.m. unless a job runs over and you will need to complete the job before leaving the site.
