Service Technician and Installer

Position Summary The Service Technician is responsible for the installation, preventative maintenance, and repair of water and coffee equipment, including filtration systems, bottled water coolers, and commercial coffee brewers. This role ensures all equipment is installed safely, maintained proactively, and operating at peak performance while delivering a high level of customer service. Core ResponsibilitiesEquipment Installation Install coffee, water, and filtration equipment at customer locations in accordance with company and safety standards Ensure proper connections to water lines, drainage, and electrical systems Test all equipment post-install to confirm performance and reliability Educate customers on proper use and basic care of installed equipment Preventative Maintenance Perform scheduled preventative maintenance including cleaning, sanitizing, descaling, filter replacements, and system inspections Identify potential equipment issues before failure and recommend corrective action Maintain service schedules to ensure all contracted maintenance is completed on time Document all maintenance activities accurately in service systems Service & Repairs Diagnose and repair equipment issues in the field Replace worn or defective components as needed Perform emergency service calls with urgency and professionalism Ensure all repairs meet company quality standards and reduce repeat service calls Field Operations Operate a company vehicle to travel to customer locations daily Manage route scheduling efficiently to meet service commitments Maintain tools, parts inventory, and service readiness Customer Service Serve as a primary point of contact during service visits Communicate clearly with customers regarding service performed and equipment status Address customer concerns and escalate issues when needed Build strong, professional relationships to support retention and growth Documentation & Systems Record all installs, maintenance, and repairs using handheld or mobile systems Maintain accurate service notes, parts usage, and customer interactions Coordinate with service coordinators for scheduling and follow-up Safety & Compliance Follow all safety protocols related to water line installation, electrical components, and equipment handling Ensure installations meet applicable quality and company standards Maintain a clean and professional work environment at all job sites Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 1-3 years of experience in equipment installation, maintenance, or field service preferred Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Valid driver's license with clean driving record Comfortable using mobile devices or service software for documentation Strong communication and customer service skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move equipment (50+ lbs) Frequent bending, kneeling, and standing Ability to work in customer environments including offices, warehouses, and light industrial settings Notes Job responsibilities may be adjusted based on business needs This is a field-based role with daily travel

Pay:

$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
