The Field Service Technician is a hands-on role responsible for traveling to customer sites to perform carbon and filter exchanges that help keep industrial operations running safely and efficiently. Technicians operate a variety of equipment, including tankers, forklifts, vacuum units, air compressors, and filter exchange trailers, while working directly with customers in the field. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, solving problems, and seeing the results of their work firsthand. While industrial or field service experience is a plus, we're also interested in candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, a solid work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities Field Service Operations Perform carbon exchanges at customer sites using slurry tankers and related equipment. Operate Hurricane vacuum units to remove spent carbon from customer vessels and replenish systems with fresh carbon. Exchange spent filters with fresh filters using specialized mobile hydraulic filter trailers. Transport Hurricane vacuum units and other service equipment to and from customer locations. Equipment Operation & Material Handling Operate slurry tankers, Hurricane vacuum units, air compressors, forklifts, customer equipment, and various types of man lifts as required. Load and unload bulk bags of fresh carbon, spent carbon, filters, and tankers using safe material handling practices. Assist with loading and unloading filters, tankers, and related equipment at the Darlington Hub. Follow varying loading and unloading procedures based on customer site requirements and equipment configurations. Customer Service & Operational Support Provide professional onsite service while working safely and efficiently at customer facilities. Communicate effectively with customers and coordinate service activities to minimize operational disruptions. Work collaboratively with team members to complete carbon and filter exchange projects. Support Darlington Hub operations and other field service activities as needed. Safety & Compliance Create and sustain a safe working environment and culture. Follow all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements. Ensure company vehicles, equipment, and tools are maintained and operated safely. Maintain a strong commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence. Qualifications Required Valid driver's license. Ability to perform the physical demands of the position. Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with tools and equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and solution-oriented mindset. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and customer service skills. Willingness to travel and work overnight as required. Desire to learn and develop new skills. Preferred 2+ years of field service experience. Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Endorsement. Dry bulk transportation experience.
