Company vehicle, tools, phone, and laptop About the Role We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machinery at customer locations throughout the Eastern Pennsylvania territory. This position is ideal for a hands-on technician who can work independently in the field and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and CNC control systems. You will work closely with service coordinators and equipment manufacturers to diagnose issues, complete repairs, and keep customer equipment operating reliably. Key Responsibilities Install, commission, align, calibrate, and functionally test CNC machinery Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, PLC, and CNC control systems Diagnose issues involving motors, drives, controls, and related machine components Service multi-axis machines, lathes, and vertical and horizontal machining centers Work with CNC control platforms including FANUC, Mazak, Okamoto, or similar systems Provide on-site training to customer operators and maintenance personnel Complete service reports, parts usage records, and job documentation Coordinate with service teams and equipment manufacturers when additional technical support is required Maintain company vehicle, tools, parts, and service equipment Build strong working relationships with customers through professional and dependable service Travel Requirements Approximately 100% regional travel within Eastern PA, Southern NJ, Maryland, and Delaware Primarily day trips with occasional overnight travel Must be comfortable working at customer facilities and managing an assigned territory independently Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on CNC equipment service experience Experience with FANUC, Mazak, Okamoto, or similar CNC systems strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics Experience troubleshooting PLCs, motors, drives, and mechanical systems Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage field service assignments effectively Preferred Qualifications Experience with industrial automation systems Experience with robotics, pallet changers, or similar automated equipment Familiarity with Microsoft Office Experience using digital service documentation and reporting systems Compensation & Benefits $35-$45 per hour Overtime opportunities Company-provided tools Company phone and laptop Company vehicle Medical insurance Disability and life insurance 401(k) with profit sharing Paid time off and holidays Ongoing OEM and in-house technical training Supportive team environment with independence in managing your assigned territory.
