Field Service Technician / Drill Rig Service Mechanic /
Equipment Service Technician Location:
Nazareth, PA Travel:
Up to 70% — primarily Northeast U.S., with occasional travel into Canada Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician / Drill Rig Service Mechanic to diagnose, maintain, modify, and repair drilling and heavy equipment in both shop and field environments. The ideal candidate is a reliable, independent problem-solver who prioritizes safety, quality, and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and repair drilling and heavy equipment. Service various makes and models of drilling equipment in field and shop environments. Read and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, schematics, and technical documentation. Plan and complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and independently. Maintain accurate daily service records and documentation. Maintain tools, equipment, service vehicles, and work areas. Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, suppliers, and manufacturers. Follow all company safety, environmental, and operational policies. Participate in pre-job safety planning and Toolbox Talks. Qualifications Mechanical/service experience with drilling rigs, heavy equipment, construction equipment, or similar machinery preferred. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals. Must maintain a complete set of personal tools. Clean driving record and ability to obtain a U.S. Passport . Strong work ethic, reliability, adaptability, and customer-service skills. Ability to work independently in varying field conditions. Willingness to travel up to 70% , primarily throughout the Northeast U.S. and occasionally into Canada. Must be available to respond to customer/service needs as required.
