Job Description

Armor Exteriors is hiring an experienced Exterior Restoration & Repair Specialist to perform more advanced residential and light-commercial repair and restoration work. This is not an entry-level labor position . We are looking for someone who already has meaningful hands-on experience repairing, restoring, rebuilding, painting, staining, sealing, or maintaining exterior components of homes and buildings. Armor Exteriors specializes in maintaining, restoring, and protecting property value. Clean. Seal. Defend. Our projects can range from preventative exterior maintenance to substantially more involved restoration work. The right person should be comfortable looking at an existing condition, understanding an established repair scope, selecting the proper tools and methods, completing quality work, and communicating when conditions in the field differ from what was expected. Types of Work May Include Fascia and soffit repair or replacement Exterior wood repair Rotten or deteriorated wood removal and replacement Trim repair and replacement Exterior carpentry Garage-door restoration Wood restoration Exterior painting Staining Surface preparation Sanding and refinishing Caulking and sealant replacement Minor siding and exterior-component repairs Gutter repairs Gutter and drainage-related repairs Roof maintenance and minor repair work within company scope Flashing/sealing-related maintenance Exterior inspection and condition documentation Water-intrusion-related exterior repairs Pressure washing and restoration preparation Installation or replacement of exterior components General exterior property restoration Our work is not limited to one trade. We want someone who understands how different exterior components interact and who enjoys solving repair and restoration problems. What We Are Looking For Strong candidates may come from backgrounds such as: Residential remodeling Restoration companies Water/fire damage restoration Exterior carpentry General construction Painting and staining Roofing repair or maintenance Siding Gutter installation/repair Property maintenance Deck or wood restoration Window/door installation Handyman or home-repair companies Facilities maintenance We are more interested in proven hands-on ability than a specific job title. You Should Be Comfortable With Ladders Working at heights Roof access when properly trained and conditions allow Power tools Hand tools Saws Drills and impact drivers Measuring and layout Removing and replacing damaged materials Working outdoors Working in changing weather conditions Identifying when hidden damage changes the original repair scope Maintaining a clean and professional jobsite Taking photos and documenting work Communicating clearly with Operations and customers We Want a Craftsperson, Not Just a Laborer We are looking for someone who cares whether the finished project is actually right .
That means:
Assess → Prepare → Repair → Restore → Finish → Inspect → Document You should be able to recognize when: wood needs replacement rather than simply being covered; preparation is inadequate for a coating; a sealant joint has failed; water has affected adjacent material; a repair needs additional investigation; the planned method will not create a durable finished result. We do not expect one person to know everything. We do expect someone experienced enough to know the difference between: "I know how to repair this." and "I need another set of eyes before we proceed."Quality Standards Armor is not interested in temporary cosmetic fixes that hide legitimate problems.
Our restoration work should:
address the actual condition being repaired; use appropriate materials and methods; protect surrounding property; maintain professional appearance; meet the approved scope; be documented before, during, and after completion; and leave the customer with a repair we are comfortable putting the Armor name behind. Customer & Team Expectations You do not need to be a salesperson, but you will represent Armor at customers' properties.
You should be able to:
communicate professionally; explain what you are doing without making unsupported technical claims; recognize additional legitimate conditions; photograph and document those conditions; report them to the appropriate Armor team member; and avoid promising additional work or pricing that has not been approved.
Our principle is:
Identify it. Document it. Communicate it. Do not manufacture it. What Success Looks Like A strong Exterior Restoration Specialist eventually becomes someone Armor can trust to: receive an established work scope; understand what needs to happen; prepare the necessary tools/materials; execute the project correctly; recognize legitimate changes in field conditions; communicate those changes; maintain jobsite quality and safety; document completed work; and finish projects without constant owner supervision. Leadership Opportunity We are building a growing exterior restoration and property-maintenance company.
Someone who demonstrates exceptional:
craftsmanship → reliability → judgment → production ownership → customer communication → leadership may have opportunities to progress into: Lead Restoration Specialist → Project Lead → Field/Restoration Leadership Advancement is based on demonstrated capability rather than time alone.
