In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heavy construction and industrial equipment directly in the field. Your expertise will ensure that machinery operates efficiently, safely, and reliably across various job sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment types, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery, while providing exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about machinery maintenance and repair. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on construction machinery, industrial equipment, and farm machinery in the field Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues using schematics and diagnostic tools Troubleshoot equipment problems efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure safety standards are met Repair and replace components such as transmissions, brakes, suspensions, air brakes, HVAC systems, and electrical systems Conduct welding, fabrication, assembly, and calibration of equipment as needed for repairs or upgrades Operate heavy equipment such as excavators or cranes during maintenance tasks to facilitate repairs or testing Utilize hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other specialized tools to complete repairs accurately Document all service work performed thoroughly in maintenance logs and communicate findings clearly to clients or team members Experience Proven experience working as a heavy equipment mechanic or service technician in dealership settings or construction environments Strong background in construction machinery maintenance including excavators, cranes, tractors-trailers, forklifts, and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts Extensive knowledge of electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, hydraulics, suspension systems, and diesel engine repair Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring and mechanical systems of heavy equipment Hands-on experience with welding, fabrication techniques, and the use of power tools for repairs Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of quality workmanship Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members Join us as a Machine Field Technician if you're eager to apply your mechanical expertise in a fast-paced environment where every day presents new challenges.
