Role:

Restoration 1 of Oak Harbor is looking for a motivated Water Mitigation Technician to join our growing team in Oak Harbor, WA. This is a hands-on, impactful role where you'll help homeowners and businesses recover from water damage and get their lives back to normal. Responsibilities:

Respond to water damage emergency calls and perform on-site assessments Extract standing water and set up drying equipment including air movers and dehumidifiers Monitor and document drying progress using moisture meters and thermal imaging tools Remove damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation as needed Communicate with homeowners, property managers, and insurance adjusters throughout the mitigation process Maintain, clean, and organize equipment and company vehicles Follow IICRC standards and safety protocols on every job site

Requirements:

Prior experience in water mitigation, restoration, or a related trade is preferred IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT/ASD) certification is a plus Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in varying conditions Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude Willingness to work on-call hours, including evenings and weekends Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
