Field Service Technician
Job Description
We are looking for a Field Service Technician to work in Germantown, WI. You will receive comprehensive onsite training before transitioning into a role that requires weekly or biweekly national travel. We provide full coverage for travel expenses, a daily per diem, and extra pay for any overtime hours completed. Required Qualifications At least three years of professional experience as a mechanic, service technician, or in an electrical-focused capacity. Background working within the packaging, machining, or shrink wrap equipment industries. Electrical Expertise Deep understanding of power distribution and AC/DC circuitry ranging from 120V to 480V. Capacity to analyze and utilize control systems and electrical schematics. Practical experience maintaining transformers, circuit breakers, fuse boxes, motor controls, and panel boards. Ensure optimal system performance by effectively troubleshooting inputs, outputs, and signal flow for sensors and actuators. Expertise in identifying electrical issues and implementing effective solutions to restore functionality. Mechanical Proficiency Hands-on familiarity with chains, gears, bearings, belts, and boilers. Working knowledge of pneumatics, servo drives, hydraulics, and conveyor systems. Improve equipment reliability by performing proactive maintenance and conducting thorough root cause analysis. Additional Requirements Competency in executing Planned and Non-Planned Maintenance checks, including signal verification for drives, switches, and sensors. Foster positive relationships by communicating clearly with leadership, engineering teams, and clients. Adaptable professional who is eager to support the team in various capacities as needed. Prepared to travel for work up to 90% of the time. Preferred Skills Relevant technical degree or formal vocational education. Prior involvement with Site Acceptance Testing and Factory Acceptance Testing. Experience developing training documentation or mentoring fellow technicians. Technical Proficiencies Expertise with 120/208/240/480 Voltage Systems Proficiency in Electrical Installation Skilled in Electrical Repair Competent in Boiler Troubleshooting Experience with Electrical Panel Installation Ability to handle Equipment Installation & Wiring Knowledge of Automotive Manufacturing Systems
