Job Description

Job description: About Us Pure Magic Holiday Lighting is a premium holiday lighting company known for creating show-stopping displays with commercial-grade materials, custom-fit installations, and a professional touch from start to finish. We handle everything—design, installation, maintenance, take-down, and storage—so our clients can enjoy a magical holiday season without lifting a finger. We're growing fast and looking for dependable, high-energy installers to join our seasonal team. If you love working outdoors, have a head for heights, and want to be part of a fast-paced, fun crew—this is for you. Job Overview As a Holiday Light Installer, you'll work with a team to install and remove professional-grade lighting and décor on residential and commercial properties. You'll be climbing ladders, working on rooftops, handling electrical connections, and ensuring each job looks flawless. This is not your average 9-5—our season is short, intense, and highly rewarding. We work hard, move fast, and keep things fun. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and remove holiday lights and décor on rooftops, trees, landscaping, and structures. Work safely on ladders, roofs, and elevated surfaces. Follow installation plans to ensure precise, professional results (no dangling cords or uneven lines). Troubleshoot and replace bulbs, wiring, and clips when needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including company vehicles and tools. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. Provide friendly, respectful customer interactions while on-site.
Qualifications Required:
Comfortable working at heights on ladders and roofs. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Reliable transportation to the Burr Ridge area each workday. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions. Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
Preferred:
Roofing, gutter, tree-trimming, or exterior construction experience. Basic electrical knowledge (wiring, plugs, timers). Experience in landscaping, general labor, or seasonal event setups.
Work Schedule Season:
Mid-September through January. Full-time and part-time roles available. Overtime opportunities during peak season. Schedule may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed. Compensation & Perks $25-$35/hour (based on experience, performance, and availability). Bonus opportunities for top performers. Paid training on our installation methods and safety procedures. Fun, high-energy work environment—holiday music included. Ready to join the crew and help create the best-looking holiday displays in Chicago? and include any relevant experience working with heights, tools, or installation work.
