This versatile role combines skilled painting with general maintenance and handyman duties to ensure the upkeep and aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality Execute a variety of painting techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless paint spraying and conventional spraying), and structural or industrial coating applications Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and color schemes to accurately execute design specifications Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment safely and effectively during all phases of work Perform general handyman tasks such as fixture installation, trim carpentry, masonry repairs, plastering, framing, and remodeling projects Maintain safety protocols by adhering to safety regulations, using respiratory protection when necessary, and ensuring a safe work environment at all times Assist with surface preparation for construction or renovation projects including surface patching, sanding, caulking, and cleaning Requirements Proven experience in construction painting—including residential, commercial, industrial, or structural applications—along with handyman skills in remodeling and maintenance Knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints Familiarity with color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects Ability to use hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding safely and efficiently Experience with surface preparation techniques such as plastering, caulking, masonry repair, and fixture installation Strong understanding of safety regulations related to construction painting surfaces and the use of respiratory protection Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings accurately for precise project execution Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during project planning Prior construction site experience with an emphasis on quality workmanship and safety protocol adherence Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks Join us as a Painter/Handyman if you're passionate about transforming spaces through expert craftsmanship!
