Overview:

IMX Scrap Services is a scrap metal processing company that performs scrap metal processing work for scrap metal recyclers, steel mills, demolition companies and railroads nationwide. We are a growing company that currently has fifty employees based around the country. Heavy Equipment Technician IMX is looking for a Heavy Equipment Technician someone who is well versed in modern diesel engines, welding and hydraulic systems. The technician will be responsible for IMX's growing fleet of heavy industrial equipment based in the Calvert, AL area.

Employment Type:

Contract basis for three months with potential for full-time employment and benefits.

Wages:

$30-$50 per hour depending on experience and tools Responsibilities Provide technical service to heavy industrial equipment. Read service order, diagnose and troubleshoot unit to resolve malfunction and plan work procedures. Follow checklists ensuring all critical parts are examined. Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on units, and adjust as needed. Test-operate equipment to ensure that they run smoothly. Attend training classes and keep tabs on factory technical bulletins. Properly complete the service and/or repairs assigned by supervisor. Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures. Participate in, and utilize to the best of one's abilities, technical training as assigned by management. Maintain your designated workspace in an organized and clean manner. Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management. Adhere to manufacturer's policies and procedures as they relate to labor operations, time and repair order documentation when performing repairs and torque specifications. Any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and or management. Qualifications At least 1 year of Fleet or Dealership experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred CDL certification preferred Teammate with a strong sense of dedication to their team. Self-motivated and professional Possess own tools is a plus
