Duties & Responsibilities Perform daily maintenance and repairs on excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and similar heavy equipment. Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension, HVAC, and electrical systems. Use schematics, technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and testing procedures to identify issues and confirm repairs. Complete welding, soldering, and fabrication projects to repair or modify equipment. Perform inspections, tire service, alignments, heavy lifting, and related mechanical work to keep equipment operational. Follow safe work practices and clearly communicate repair needs and maintenance updates to internal teams and external clients.

Requirements Required:

Proven dealership or heavy equipment maintenance experience with Caterpillar or similar diesel-powered equipment. Working knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension, HVAC, and electrical systems. Hands-on experience with diagnostics, welding, soldering, fabrication, power tools, and mechanical repairs. Ability to read electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and technical manuals. Strong inspection and troubleshooting skills with the ability to clearly explain repair and maintenance needs. Able to perform physical repairs and work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed. Compensation:

Shifts:

Rotating 12-hour shifts alternating between days and nights Initial training completed on day shift before moving to the rotating schedule Weekend and holiday availability required as needed
