Job Description

The Opportunity We are seeking a seasoned Shop Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on all makes and models of forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and telehandlers—including gas, propane, diesel, and electric-powered units. You must be confident in diagnosing complex issues, accurately quoting repairs, and delivering excellent service to customers. A strong familiarity with multiple equipment brands is a must. What You Will Do Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on a variety of material handling equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections. Accurately quote repair work including parts, labor, and time estimates. (We have a fully staffed parts department and a service writer that you will be working with.) Communicate clearly with service managers and the service writer about job scope and timelines. Complete all work orders and documentation accurately. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace. Stay current with OEM standards and industry safety practices. What We Are Looking For Strong diagnostic and repair skills for gas, propane, diesel, and electric-powered equipment. Working knowledge of brands such as Unicarrier, Clark, Genie, JLG, Skyjack, Hoist, and others. Experience quoting repair work accurately. Strong time management and communication skills. Able to work independently and represent the company professionally. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment or lift mechanic. Valid driver's license with clean record Tools suitable for heavy equipment (specialty tools provided).
