If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy working with your hands, and want to build a career in heavy equipment repair, PDQ Equipment is looking for a Level 1 Technician to join our Service team! This is a great opportunity for someone starting out in the trade or looking to take their existing mechanical experience to the next level. You'll work alongside experienced technicians while gaining hands-on experience servicing and repairing a wide variety of construction and rental equipment. What You'll Be Doing As a Level 1 Technician, you'll develop your technical skills while helping keep our equipment safe, reliable, and ready to work.

Your day may include:

Performing preventative maintenance, oil and filter changes, lubrication, fluid checks, and routine services Inspecting equipment for wear, damage, leaks, and maintenance needs Completing basic mechanical repairs and replacing components within your skill level Assisting experienced technicians with larger repairs, tear-downs, and component installation Learning to troubleshoot gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other equipment components Using hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and basic diagnostic equipment Testing and operating equipment as authorized to confirm proper operation Completing work orders and service documentation Keeping your work area clean, organized, and safe What We're Looking For You don't need to be a master mechanic—we're looking for someone with a strong mechanical foundation and the desire to become one. Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude Some hands-on experience with automotive, diesel, construction, agricultural, rental, or similar equipment preferred Technical or trade school training is a plus, but not required Comfortable working with hand and power tools Strong attention to safety and quality Dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn Able to take direction and work alongside experienced technicians Willingness to participate in ongoing technical and equipment training Why PDQ Equipment?
