Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Forklift Service Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial equipment, including forklifts, construction machinery, and heavy-duty vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal equipment performance, safety, and reliability across various operational sites. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on forklifts, heavy equipment, and construction machinery using advanced electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic troubleshooting techniques. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on diverse equipment such as excavators, cranes, tractors, and farm machinery to minimize downtime. Utilize OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and technical manuals to accurately identify issues and execute repairs efficiently. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, cutting, or machining tools to ensure proper fit and function. Troubleshoot complex electrical systems including electrical diagnostics, air brake systems, transmissions, HVAC units, suspension systems, and hydraulic components. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety standards. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and reports documenting all repairs performed for accountability and future reference. Skills Extensive dealership experience with heavy equipment maintenance and repair. Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery, industrial equipment, and farm machinery. Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and troubleshooting electrical systems. Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering for custom repairs or modifications. Experience with diesel engine diagnostics and repair including fuel systems, transmissions, air brakes, and HVAC systems. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely including forklifts, excavators, cranes, and tractor-trailers. Familiarity with OEM parts sourcing and assembly procedures for various types of industrial equipment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
