In this energetic role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and service heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly, supporting large-scale projects and daily activities with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, bulldozers, loaders, forklifts, and other construction machinery. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire service, brake repairs, and hydraulic system checks to prevent breakdowns. Troubleshoot electrical systems, schematics, wiring diagrams, and electronic controls using diagnostic tools for diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, HVAC systems, and more. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to meet OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Inspect equipment for alignment issues, suspension problems, hydraulics malfunctions, HVAC concerns, or electrical failures; perform necessary repairs or adjustments. Assist in the assembly and disassembly of construction machinery during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety standards. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards while maintaining detailed service records for each piece of equipment. Experience Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment maintenance and repair in dealership or industrial settings. Strong knowledge of construction machinery servicing including excavators, cranes, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, and schematics interpretation. Skilled in diesel engine diagnostics and repair along with hydraulic systems troubleshooting. Familiarity with welding techniques, tire service procedures, HVAC systems maintenance, and air brake systems. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely for testing purposes after repairs. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members while providing technical support when needed.
