Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Underground Mining Jennmar Services | Somerset, CO | Full-Time Jennmar Services is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our underground mining operation near Somerset, Colorado. The mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment, vehicles, and service trucks. We are looking for someone with strong mechanical experience who can diagnose problems, perform repairs, and complete preventative maintenance. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair heavy equipment and vehicles. Perform preventative maintenance and inspections. Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and other components. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues. Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records. Maintain parts inventory and an organized shop. Follow all company, MSHA, and site safety requirements. Requirements Previous mechanical, heavy equipment, automotive, or industrial maintenance experience . Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience using mechanic tools and diagnostic equipment. Valid driver's license. Good attention to detail and communication skills. Ability to work in an underground mining environment. Ability to lift up to 150 lbs. MSHA/mining experience preferred, but not required. ASE certification or mechanical training is a plus.
