We are seeking an experienced and skilled Ready Mix Mechanic to join our ready mix concrete team. As a Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of our fleet of ready mix concrete trucks, tri-axle trucks and plant equipment. Your expertise in diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues will contribute to the overall reliability and efficiency of our operations.Hours :
10 Hour Days (Approximately April thru December, in season)Reporting:
Head Mechanic Essential Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on ready-mix concrete trucks, tri-axle dump trucks, tractor trailers, and plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct regular inspections of the fleet to identify and address potential issues before they lead to breakdowns.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, promoting a culture of safety in the maintenance department.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the procurement of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations and implement appropriate measures to address urgent issues.
- Work closely with the operations team, drivers, and other maintenance personnel to coordinate repair schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including service reports, parts used, and equipment history.
Education/Experience:
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment maintenance.
